ICTF members donate over £1000 to local charity

Presenation to Helen & Douglas House On 5th July 2012 the University of Oxford’s ICT Forum held the 17th annual conference of IT Staff at the Kassam Stadium in Oxford. As part of the day, the Conference Committee had decided to have a prize draw for a charity chosen by IT staff from around the University. IT Staff overwhelmingly nominated Helen and Douglas House, a local hospice for children and young adults, and were extremely generous with their donations. Pictured are Sarah Lawson (left) and Jeremy Worth, Secretary and Chairman of the ICT Forum handing over the magnificent sum of £1038.87 to Aimie Hancock (right) from Helen and Douglas House. Commenting on the donation, Tony Brett, Head of IT Support Staff Services in Oxford University Computing Services, said, “I am delighted that Oxford’s IT Staff have been so generous and have donated this money to such an excellent and well-deserving local charity. Life-shortening conditions can touch any of us or those around us at any time and this sort of generosity reminds me of the many ways in which our University’s staff members can and do give so much back to our local community”
